Aston Creative ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Expert World Quiz mobile application (the "App"), a geography quiz with daily challenges, map games and a picture-based "Where in the World" game. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.
We do not collect any personal information. Expert World Quiz does not require account creation, login, or registration. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
Locally stored data: The App stores your progress and preferences locally on your device. This includes your daily quiz results and streak, your Where in the World scores, your passport stamps, your mastery map progress, your best scores, a partly finished Daily Ten, the cities you have pinned in Live World, your settings (such as sound, haptics, theme, distance units, clock format, colour-blind mode and daily reminder time), which daily facts you have already seen, simple counters used to space out adverts and prompts, and whether you have purchased the ad-free upgrade described below. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.
Location and time: The App does not request access to your location. Live World and the Day & Night quiz use your device's clock and time zone setting to show local times, sunrise and sunset. This happens on your device and nothing is sent to us.
The App uses the following third-party services:
Google AdMob: We display interstitial advertisements through Google AdMob. Adverts appear between rounds, for example when you leave a results screen, and never during a question. Google may collect certain information including your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and general usage data in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, the App shows Google's consent message so you can choose how your data is used for advertising, and you can change your choice at any time from "Privacy & ad choices" in the App's settings. If you purchase the "Remove ads" upgrade, the App no longer requests or displays advertisements.

Google Play Billing: The App offers a single one-time in-app purchase, "Remove ads", processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. Google Play may retain a record of the purchase against your Google account so that it can be restored on other devices. The App stores only whether the purchase has been made, and confirms this with Google Play when it starts.
Google Play In-App Review: If you choose to rate the App, Google Play shows its own rating form. Your rating and any review are handled by Google Play under Google's policies and appear on Google Play in the usual way. We do not receive any other information about you from this.
Daily reminder: If you turn on the optional daily reminder, the notification is scheduled on your device by the App itself. No notification server is involved and no data is sent to us. You can turn the reminder off in the App's settings or in your device's notification settings at any time.
Sharing results: If you share a quiz result, the App passes the text of your result to the app you choose using your device's share menu. We do not receive a copy.

Everything in Expert World Quiz is free to play. The only purchase is the optional one-time "Remove ads" upgrade, which removes advertisements permanently. It does not unlock any extra content, and it is not a subscription, so you will never be charged again.
The price is shown in Google Play before you confirm the purchase, in your local currency. Payment is taken and processed by Google Play.
If you reinstall the App or move to a new device signed in to the same Google account, use "Restore purchase" in the App's settings to switch adverts off again.
Refunds: Within 48 hours of purchase, you can request a refund directly through Google Play in accordance with its refund policy. After 48 hours, please contact us at info@astoncreative.com with your order number (found in your Google Play order history) and we will look at each request individually. If a refund is given, adverts will return. This does not affect your statutory rights.

The scene pictures used in Where in the World and in your passport, and the animal pictures used in Wildlife, are AI-generated representations created by us using AI image tools. They are designed to look like the real places and animals, but they are not photographs, and some details may differ from reality.
No personal information is used to create these images. The App itself does not use artificial intelligence to process any of your information.
If you email us, for example using "Contact us" or "Send us an idea or a correction" in the App, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use these only to reply to you and to improve the App, and we do not share them with anyone. You can ask us to delete your emails at any time.
Expert World Quiz is a geography quiz app intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App does not collect any personal data from any user, no special provisions for children's data are required. The third-party advertising shown through AdMob complies with Google's policies regarding ad content. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, please contact us and we will delete it.
All app data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store user data. The App does not require an internet connection to play; a connection is used only to load advertisements and Google's consent message, to confirm purchases with Google Play, and to open links you choose, such as this page. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, your progress and preferences will be permanently deleted. Your purchase is held by Google Play and can be restored from within the App's settings after reinstalling.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
